Paper Applications by Request or Download Only

The University of California will offer its paper application for admission and scholarships only by request beginning October 1, the same day the online application will open.

For accuracy, the University prefers that students file online applications at (see “Apply Online to UC”); however, it will continue to make a paper version available to those who need one. In addition to this new print-on-demand option, students may download copies of the application and instruction booklet.

To request copies by mail, e-mail ucinfo@ucapplication.net. Please include the student’s name and mailing address and the term for which the student plans to apply; indicate whether a freshman or transfer application is needed.

Priority Deadline for Application Update Has Passed

The Application Update website priority deadline for winter quarter/spring semester 2006 applicants passed on September 23, 2005. The site will remain open for the near term. However, there is no guarantee that campuses will still accept updates at this late date. Contact individual campus admissions offices directly if you need to update your application.

The Application Update (formerly known as a work-in-progress, or WIP, form), allows transfer students to easily provide campuses with their latest grades and in-progress courses. All transfer applicants (except those applying only to UC San Diego) must fill out an Application Update form even if the record of course grades was complete at the time of application or if no courses are in progress or planned. All UC San Diego applicants for winter 2006 should send official transcripts directly to the UCSD campus. UCSD applicants with questions should call (858) 534-4831.

UC Campuses Closed for Spring 2006 Admissions

UC campuses will not be accepting applications during the October 1–31 filing period for applicants for admission to the spring 2006 quarter.
